Even if I Know the Coordinates
I Will Never Be Able to See

A couple of months ago my family and I were at the zoo and I caught the eye of a rabbit. He seemed familiar to the Other at the same time. The abyss of the unknowable was between our views.
I took this photo in a small petting zoo in Stockholm seventeen days after the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP. After destroying the hydroelectric power station in the village of Novaya Kakhovka, about 300 animals died in the Kazkova Dibrova Zoo. The catastrophe at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station shows the terrible irresponsibility of mankind in front of the planet and animals.
I photograph the eyes of animals in the zoo and try to understand what they see, constructing approximate views. I want to influence my project's visibility, including legal visibility, of animals in captivity. I study the vision of animals, what colors they see, repeat possible views, and make 3D eye shapes. I am trying to understand and catch the views of animals: What do they see?  Is there me in them?
I want to thank the animals I photographed and used images of their body parts for artistic purposes without obtaining permission.
All animals were photographed in 2023 in captivity.
